opening hours
Peak-season hours are 8 am to 5:30 pm from April 1 to October 31, and off-season hours are 8:30 am to 5 pm from November 1 to March 31. Ticket sales for the Ming Tombs run from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Regular public entry centers on Changling, Dingling, Zhaoling, and the Sacred Way; additional tombs such as Kangling, Yongling, Siling, and Jingling require advance booking and guided access.

how to get there
From central Beijing, the simplest self-guided public-transport route usually means the Changping Line plus a final bus or taxi leg into Shisanling. There is also a direct bus option from Deshengmen, and drivers usually approach via the G6 Beijing-Tibet Expressway and Changchi Road. If you want more than one tomb in the same day, a guided tour or car is usually the easiest choice.
tickets
Regular entry tickets are sold by sub-site rather than as one all-sites Ming Tombs pass. Seasonal adult prices are:
- Sacred Way: CNY 20 off-season / 30 peak season
- Zhaoling: CNY 20 / 30
- Changling: CNY 30 / 45
- Dingling: CNY 40 / 60
Half-price tickets apply to children over 6 through 18, full-time undergraduate-and-below students, and some documented groups. Children 6 or under or 1.2 m (3.9 ft) or shorter, visitors aged 60+, active-duty military, retired certificate holders, and disabled visitors enter free with valid ID; reduced and free admissions must be handled at the ticket window.
accessibility
Expect a spread-out heritage site rather than one seamless museum visit. The easiest version is usually Changling plus a vehicle between stops; Dingling's underground palace involves stairs, and long stretches of the Sacred Way can be tiring. If mobility is your main concern, keep the route short and avoid overloading the day.
