Take a trip to the islands of the Venetian lagoon

The islands in the lagoon offer various highlights: While Murano is world-famous for the glassblowing craft based there, lace is traditionally made on Burano in and around the colorful fishermen's cottages. In contrast to the highly frequented first two islands is Torcello, which with its main sight, the cathedral Santa Maria Assunta is more suitable for quieter activities.
