opening hours
Chora Church is open for tourist visits Saturday to Thursday from 9 am to 6 pm, with the box office closing at 5:55 pm; it is closed to visitors on Friday. Tourist admission stops 15 minutes before each prayer time, and visitors are not allowed inside during prayer periods, so check that day's prayer times before you go.

how to get there
The simplest route is usually tram line T4 to Edirnekapı, followed by a short walk to Kariye Camii. You can also use tram line T5 via Ayvansaray and continue uphill on foot. If your schedule is tight, a taxi drop-off in Edirnekapı is often the most predictable option.
dresscode
As Chora Church functions as a mosque, dress modestly: shoulders and knees should be covered, and women should carry a headscarf. Shoes are removed in prayer areas. If needed, basic cover items are often available near the entrance.
photography and filming
Personal photography without flash is generally allowed in visitor areas of Chora Church. During prayer activity, keep your phone silent and avoid filming worshippers. Rules can tighten during religious periods, so follow on-site signage.
