how to get there
Cathedral Square and the Kremlin grounds are entered through Kutafiya Tower by Alexander Garden; the Armoury Chamber uses the Borovitskaya Tower entrance.
Metro: nearby stations include Arbatskaya, Biblioteka Imeni Lenina, Alexandrovsky Sad, and Borovitskaya.
Arrival buffer: leave at least 45 minutes for ticket exchange and security, especially before an Armoury Chamber session.
accessibility
The ticket and excursion office has a ramp and step-free access, and the Kutafiya Tower entrance is also ramped.
Inside the museums, accessibility is limited: the museum-cathedrals, Patriarch's Palace, exhibition halls, and Armoury Chamber require extra assistance for wheelchair users, with the Assumption Cathedral noted as the main exception. If you use a wheelchair, plan the visit with companions and extra time.
luggage
The left-luggage office is at the foot of Kutafiya Tower and is free after you show a valid ticket or invitation. It is open from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm, with breaks from 11:00 to 11:30 am and 3:30 to 4:00 pm.
Items must fit within 30 x 50 x 70 cm (12 x 20 x 28 in), and suitcases, valuables, animals, scooters, bicycles, and similar items are not accepted. Travel light if you want the easiest security check.
photography and filming
Amateur photography is allowed in the Kremlin grounds, museum-cathedrals, and exhibitions without flash or extra equipment.
Video filming is prohibited, and photography and video are not allowed in the Armoury Chamber. If photos matter to you, save your camera time for Cathedral Square, Ivanovskaya Square, and the exterior views.
