AltitudeX Singapore, formerly iFly Singapore, turns a short stop near Beach Station and Siloso Beach into a real freefall-style rush on Sentosa. You fly in a giant glass-fronted tunnel with views toward the South China Sea, so the experience feels bigger than a typical indoor attraction.

For most first visits, start with the Challenge package with two skydives; it gives you a much better second attempt and usually feels more satisfying than stopping after one short flight.

First-time flight packages

Best for most visitors: first-timer packages that bundle training, flight gear, and one, two, or six guided skydives in the Sentosa wind tunnel.

6 tips for visiting the iFly Singapore

1
Book two skydives first
If this is your first indoor flight, the one-flight Teaser can end just as your body starts to understand the airflow. The two-flight Challenge gives you a real second try, which is usually where the fun clicks. That way you leave feeling you actually flew, not that you only sampled it.
2
Use Beach Station as your anchor
If you want the easiest arrival, route yourself to Beach Station and work outward from there. AltitudeX sits right beside it, so you avoid unnecessary hill walks and confusing island detours. This keeps the stop compact and your energy for the tunnel.
3
Treat the hour before flight as part of the visit
You need to check in about 1 hour before your flight, and the full group-format experience lasts around 90 minutes. If you cram this into a tight island timetable, the stress arrives before the adrenaline does. Build a real slot for it, so you start calm.
4
Check the criteria before you pay
If your group includes younger kids, taller or heavier flyers, or anyone with back, neck, shoulder, or heart issues, verify the flight rules before booking. This is not a ride where everyone is waved through at the last second. One quick check saves awkward surprises at the counter.
5
Wear real shoes, not beach flip-flops
The Siloso Beach address can trick you into beach mode, but this is a trainers-first attraction. Wear casual clothes and covered shoes, and avoid dresses, skirts, or very revealing outfits. That way you spend your prep time flying, not rethinking footwear.
6
Keep the rest of Sentosa local
After AltitudeX, pair one nearby follow-up, such as Skyline Luge Sentosa for more action or the Singapore-Sentosa Cable Car for views. Trying to bolt on too many far-flung city stops usually kills the mood. A short west-Sentosa loop feels much better.

How to plan a smooth AltitudeX stop on Sentosa

This is a short attraction with a real prep window. If you plan the arrival, package choice, and check-in rhythm well, AltitudeX feels easy instead of rushed.

Use Beach Station as your arrival anchor

From central Singapore, the cleanest rhythm is MRT to HarbourFront, then Sentosa Express to Beach Station. AltitudeX sits right beside that hub, so you are not burning time on long island detours before a timed activity. It is one of the rare Sentosa adrenaline stops where transport can feel almost too easy.

Book the Challenge package for a real first taste

Best for most first-time visitors: the Challenge package gives you two skydives, not one. The first flight is usually half adaptation, while the second is where your shoulders drop and the grin arrives. Choose Teaser only if this is intentionally a very short stop, and save Trial Training for repeat flyers who want skill work. Book now.

Treat the check-in hour as part of the attraction

You need to be there 1 hour before your flight, and the whole experience runs about 90 minutes in group format. That means a nominally quick activity still needs a real block in your day. Build around it instead of trying to squeeze it between far-apart island plans, and the mood stays lighter.

Keep one nearby Sentosa follow-up

After the tunnel, either stay active with Skyline Luge Sentosa or change the tempo with the views of the Singapore-Sentosa Cable Car. Trying to bolt on too many distant city stops after a time-locked activity usually adds more transfer drag than fun. One neat west-Sentosa loop keeps the day coherent.

From iFly Singapore to AltitudeX

The AltitudeX name is new, but the tunnel behind it has deep Sentosa history. That timeline explains why older travel guides and some existing booking products still say iFly Singapore.

2011: the wind tunnel opens on Sentosa

The original iFly Singapore opened on Sentosa in 2011, right beside Beach Station. From the start, it was built as a proper indoor skydiving venue rather than a throwaway novelty stop, and that older ambition still shows in how structured the visit feels.

2013 and 2015: credibility grows

Formal quality and safety accreditation arrived in 2013, and traveler-recognition awards followed from 2015 onward. In practice, that helps explain the organized briefing culture and why repeat visitors often see this as more than a quick selfie attraction.

2025: the name changes to AltitudeX

The name on the building is now AltitudeX, while older material and some live booking products still say iFly Singapore. That is why the older name survives in memories, older travel articles, and booking pages even though the brand has changed. It is the same beachfront tunnel, not a different place on the island.

Why the tunnel still feels different

What keeps this stop memorable is the setting: a 17.2 m (56.5 ft)-high, 5 m (16.5 ft)-wide tunnel, acrylic walls facing Siloso Beach and the South China Sea, and capacity for up to 20 professional flyers at once. It works especially well for couples, older kids, and repeat adrenaline seekers who want one concentrated rush, not an all-day commitment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I book Teaser or Challenge first at AltitudeX?

For most first visits, Challenge is the better starting point. The first skydive is often pure orientation, while the second is where you settle down and enjoy the flight. Book Teaser only if this is a deliberately short Sentosa stop.

How much time should I plan for AltitudeX?

Plan about 1.5 to 2 hours door to door. Once you are there, the flow usually lasts about 90 minutes, and you should arrive around 1 hour before your flight time.

How early do I need to check in?

Aim to be there 1 hour before your flight. That buffer covers briefing, gear fitting, and group sequencing, so you are not scrambling before the fun part starts.

What happens if I arrive late?

Late arrivals are rescheduled only if there is availability, and the extra fee is S$30 per person. On weekends, public holidays, and school holidays, leave more travel buffer into Sentosa so you do not burn money before you even fly.

Who can fly at AltitudeX?

Flyers must be at least 7 years old. Weight limits are 120 kg (265 lb) under 1.8 m (5 ft 11 in) and 140 kg (309 lb) over 1.8 m (5 ft 11 in), and you cannot fly if you are pregnant or have the listed cast, alcohol/drug, or major shoulder, back, neck, or heart restrictions.

Can travelers with physical disabilities fly?

Often yes, but you should raise it before booking or at check-in. Weekdays outside public holidays work best if you need extra assistance, and final suitability is assessed case by case.

What should I wear for the session?

Wear casual clothes and covered shoes or sneakers. Avoid dresses, skirts, collared shirts, and overly revealing outfits; if you do not have suitable shoes and socks, footwear can be rented on site.

Are local packages only for Singapore residents?

Yes. To use a local package, you need to live in Singapore and show a document with your name and Singapore address at check-in, such as an e-bill or identification card.

What should I pair with AltitudeX nearby?

For a clean same-area plan, add Skyline Luge Sentosa if you still want momentum, or the Singapore-Sentosa Cable Car if you want an easier scenic follow-up. One nearby add-on works far better than trying to cover all of Singapore afterward.

address

AltitudeX
43 Siloso Beach Walk, #01-01
Singapore 099010

how to get there

The cleanest public-transport route from central Singapore is MRT to HarbourFront (NE1/CC29), then the Sentosa Express from VivoCity Level 3 to Beach Station. Bus 123 also stops at the Beach Station Bus Terminal, and taxis or cars can use the Beach Station carpark. AltitudeX sits right beside the station, so the final walk is easy.

accessibility

For flyers with physical disabilities, flying is often possible, but you should flag your needs before booking or at check-in. Weekdays excluding public holidays are preferred for extra assistance, and suitability is judged individually, so a flight cannot be guaranteed in every case.

security

You must be at least 7 years old, fit comfortably into the flight gear, and meet the body criteria. Weight limits are 120 kg (265 lb) for flyers under 1.8 m (5 ft 11 in) and 140 kg (309 lb) for flyers over 1.8 m (5 ft 11 in). You cannot fly if you are pregnant, wearing a hard cast, under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs, or have previous shoulder dislocations, back or neck injuries, or heart problems. Flyers under 18 need signed parent or guardian permission.

dresscode

Dress casually and avoid collared shirts, dresses, skirts, and very revealing clothing. Tight-fitting covered shoes or lace-up trainers are strongly recommended. If you do not have suitable shoes and socks, you can rent footwear on site.

lockers

Lockers are available to rent on site. If you are arriving with day bags or beach gear from Siloso Beach, sort that out before your briefing so the gearing-up flow stays quick.
